Refund policy
We work very hard to make sure you are satisfied with your shipping experience at Hartful Pet. We want you to keep coming back and tell your friends about us.
If for some reason things didn't go as planned, we're more than happy to help you with your concerns and set you up with a return for your item(s) or order.
The terms on returns are as follows:
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after your item arrives to request a return. We cannot guarantee we will be able to accept any returns or exchanges beyond that time frame. Any refused package will be subject to shipping fees.
To be eligible for a return, it must be unopened and in its original packaging. Please make your selections carefully. This includes opened cases of canned food. If one can used it will be accepted back, but any more than one can from case we cannot accept for return.
No returns on any R/X products due to pharmaceutical regulations. We are unable to accept returns or issue refunds for any medications or prescription foods.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Returns are subject to a return shipping fee up to $20.00. The return shipping fee will be deducted from the total credit or refund amount for the item(s) being returned.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
No returns on any R/X products due to pharmaceutical regulations. We are unable to accept returns or issue refunds for any medications or prescription foods. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for final sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
